This happened in 1940, when the population of Tuscon was less than 60,000. Today Tuscon Citizen and Arizona Daily Star have their own independent editorial and are competitors for Tuscon news but also share the same production facilities as well as advertising, marketing, finance, IT, HR and newspaper Tuscon circulation!
Founded by Richard C. McCormick and John Wasson as editor & publisher on October 15, 1870, the Tuscon Citizen is a daily Tuscon newspaper . Together the Tuscon Citizen and The Arizona Daily publish four newspapers namely:
